Why should I join Vista?

Vista is an independent practice association of physicians and acts as an agent for its physicians to contract with managed care companies as well as provide additional value added services for its physician members.

How does Vista's contracts affect my current HMO contracts?

The daily office operation remains the same with your current billing procedures but you will now be mapped to the Vista fee schedule. For specialists, this means that you will be mapped to the Vista fee schedule regardless of the referral source.

How does Vista affect my relationship with the Insurance Company?

You will continue to be responsible for all of the precertification and notification requirements expected of you by each insurance carrier/ Payor. Your original participation agreement with the Payor remains in effect.

Will there be any changes in what I must do?

No, however to provide you with exceptional service, we will need to be informed of any changes in your office i.e. address change, tax ID, status of physicians etc.

What is the role of Vista's administrative staff?

Vista's administrative staff serves in a consultative role for our practices to help ensure that appropriate policies and procedures are in place. In addition, Vista serves as a liaison between the providers and the carrier to resolve issues which individual or small groups of physicians are unable to address on their own. The services provided include problem resolution, staff training, and assisting offices in assuring that the appropriate payments have been received from carriers for services rendered.
